Danielle Reichner
Danielle is responsible for overseeing the strategy, planning and implementation of Room to Read’s direct implementation operations across Asia and Africa. With her support, her team ensures that Room to Read's programs are delivered efficiently, timely, and with fidelity to program design. Danielle started at Room to Read as Chief of Staff where she was responsible for managing the development of the 2010-2015 Strategic Plan. She then served as Director of International Operations, leading the Annual Planning and Budgeting Process across countries and offices and other key strategic projects to improve effective and efficient implementation in line with the organization’s evolving programmatic strategy.
Danielle brings over 15 years of experience in non-profit, youth development and education organizations. Prior to Room to Read, Danielle held several positions at City Year, Inc., a non- profit dedicated to building democracy through citizen service. This included leading the national middle school Young Heroes program and launching the organization's first international site in Johannesburg, South Africa. Before joining City Year, Danielle served as Area Director for ten after-school programs throughout Massachusetts for Explore, Inc.
Danielle earned her Bachelor's degree from Boston University and her Master's degree from NYU's Wagner School of Public Service in International Non-Profit Management.
