Making room for connection and community

Room to Read Bangladesh has created a powerful community of graduates through our Girls' Education Program. By establishing a Girls’ Education Program alumnae group on Facebook, our local team has connected program graduates all across the country and fostered a space in which graduates can continue to grow together and engage in ongoing discussions about essential life skills and gender equality. 

At its start in September, 2023, nearly 50 Girls’ Education Program alums in Bangladesh had joined the group, with more than 120 members added by October. Another 150 new graduates are expected to join in the coming months, growing a network of support for women and girls across Bangladesh.  

New graduates from Room to Read's Girls' Education Program in Bangladesh are welcomed virtually and in person into a growing community of Girls' Education Program alums.
