Health and Safety Measures Room to Read staff are taking all appropriate safety measures to ensure that this is a comfortable and safe environment for all. To that end, we are following all current and local health and safety regulations in accordance with New York City guidelines. While we strongly encourage that all guests are vaccinated, proof of vaccination and/or COVID-19 testing will not be required for this event. However, if you are experiencing any symptoms, or have been in close contact with anyone experiencing symptoms or has tested positive within the past 7 days, we respectfully ask you to stay home for the safety of all attendees and their families. Please note that all mandates and guidelines outlined above are current as of 05/05/2022. Should the requirements be updated, or new orders be issued that affect these guidelines, we will share new guidance as soon as possible.

Education is the great equalizer. It is a pathway to myriad outcomes and gives us the power to complete the equation of our futures. When children learn, they lead fulfilled lives and become change-makers in their communities, transcending the circumstances they were born into. As we solve for education, we activate solutions to so many world problems — from poverty to climate change to discrimination. For students, education equals curiosity, empathy and the opportunity to reach for their dreams.
On Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Rainbow Room in New York City, Room to Read will honor the contributions of IMC, Lilly Singh and Tatcha, as well as celebrate global champions for education equality. We invite you to join us to ensure millions of children can access their inherent right to learning and unlock all that education equals.
