About She Creates Change
Girls around the world are unlocking their strength and blazing their own trails. Their stories deserve to be told as they create change for themselves, their communities and our world.
She Creates Change is on a mission to elevate the powerful true stories of courageous, relatable young women and inspire a movement for gender equality.
Starting with the release of the She Creates Change book and audio stories in partnership with Rebel Girls, and now the full-length trailer, Room to Read boldly aims to reach all 432 million adolescent girls (ages 12–18) around the world with content and educational curriculum that supports them in creating change in their lives and communities.
The film features voice over acting by a roster of talent including Freida Pinto, Charithra Chandran, YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli (MostlySane), Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, Amita Suman, Amrita Acharia and Quyen Ngo. Kenyan R&B pop singer Karun Mungai performs the original She Creates Change campaign song “Who I Am” written by Warsan Shire and composed by Lucie Treacher.
