Celebrate PIMCO Foundation's Partnership with Room to Read and Send a Message of Encouragement

Room to Read believes every child has the right to quality education, yet access to that right remains disproportionately limited, if not entirely restricted, for millions of adolescent girls. When a large percentage of girls drop out of school never to return, this threatens to undermine not only their futures but the prospects of their countries. Educated girls are more likely to enact positive change that benefits their families and their communities.

That is why we are more grateful than ever to have PIMCO Foundation’s support of our Girls’ Education Program. Since 2014, PIMCO Foundation's support has enabled thousands of girls to connect with resources they need to make key life decisions by providing life skills curriculum, opportunities for mentorship and peer support, and family and community engagement.

As part of our Girls’ Education Program, you can make an impact today by volunteering your time to write “messages of encouragement” to girls participating in Room to Read’s program. Secondary school-aged girls in vulnerable communities that Room to Read reaches will receive your letters and take inspiration from your heartful encouragement.
