Room to Read promotes several campaigns during the year. Some of these campaigns focus on important days of awareness, like International Day of the Girl, while others focus on Room to Read-specific campaigns like She Creates Change.

As a volunteer, we ask for and appreciate your promotion of these campaigns in ways that work for you. Each year, a few of our campaigns have a "matching donation" incentive that volunteers can leverage to motivate people to give. You may also consider planning your own campaigns and events around the same time as our larger campaigns to take advantage of matches and other provided assets.

Annual Campaign Resources

Annually, Room to Read celebrates International Women's Day (March 8th). We typically provide details about our campaign's theme as well as a variety of resources and social media tools starting three weeks in advance of the day. Be on the lookout for details in the Volunteer Newsletter. 

Annually, Room to Read celebrates International Literacy Day (September 8th) with a month-long campaign in September. highlighting our Literacy Program. We typically provide details about our campaign's theme as well as a variety of resources and social media tools starting three weeks in advance of the day. Be on the lookout for details in the Volunteer Newsletter. 

Annually, Room to Read celebrates International Day of the Girl (October 11th) with a month-long campaign in October, highlighting our Girls' Education Program. We typically provide details about our campaign's theme as well as a variety of resources and social media tools starting three weeks in advance of the day. Be on the lookout for details in the Volunteer Newsletter. 

Annually, Room to Read celebrates Giving Tuesday (the final Tuesday of November) and the holiday season with an End of Year campaign through December 31st. We typically provide details about our campaign's theme as well as a variety of resources and social media tools starting three weeks in advance of Giving Tuesday. You guessed it...details for these campaigns will be made available in our Volunteer Newsletter as the time approaches.
