Welcome to shecreateschange.org — Room to Read’s new dedicated online home for all things She Creates Change, our multimedia content and curriculum promoting gender equality through the true stories of remarkable girls around the world.
The site makes the She Creates Change film, in various languages and lengths, accessible to educators, parents, students, partners, community volunteers and event organizers seeking powerful, relatable stories that catalyze change and promote gender equality.
Lesson plans, teaching resources and abundant supplemental content is now available for download with a simple click — all for free!
Through a combination of animation and live-action documentaries, the She Creates Change film tells the true stories of Dewmini, Keya, Trang, Diksha, Yashika and Naifat, six courageous girls in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Nepal, India and Tanzania.
Each girl confronts barriers to education using foundational life skills learned through Room to Read’s gender equality programming — decision-making, leadership, critical thinking, collaboration and resilience.
On shecreateschange.org, anyone can view, download and share the films and accompanying educational materials and teaching resources, helping to benefit more children, more quickly, with inspiring content and curriculum that promotes gender equality and drives lasting change.
